SpeakerView collects no personal data. Everything the app does happens on your device. Nothing is sent to any server — not your speech content, not your settings, not your usage.
What We Collect
Nothing. SpeakerView does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising SDK.
Your Speech Content
Speech files you import are read directly from your device's file system and are never copied, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere. They remain entirely under your control.
Translation
Translations are performed using Apple's on-device Translation framework. Your speech content is processed locally on your device and is never sent to any external server, including Apple's servers, for translation.
Settings and Preferences
App preferences (font size, color mode, timer settings, etc.) are stored locally on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults mechanism. They are not synced, shared, or transmitted anywhere.
Third-Party Services
The SpeakerView app uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app makes no network requests of any kind during normal use.
This Website
This website (speakerview.chrisdailey.net) uses Help Scout Beacon to provide a support chat widget so you can reach us with questions. When you open the widget, Help Scout may set cookies and process the information you submit (such as your name, email address, and message) in order to deliver your request to us. See Help Scout's privacy policy for details. This is separate from the SpeakerView app itself, which remains fully offline as described above.
Children's Privacy
Because SpeakerView collects no data from anyone, it is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated policy will be posted at this URL and the effective date above will be updated. Changes will only ever result from new features that are explicitly opt-in.
